Fun Sticks is back for Term 3, offering Year 1 & 2 tamariki a fun and supportive introduction to hockey across five convenient locations. The 6-week programme focuses on building confidence and game play skills. Registrations are now open on PlayHQ!

Fun Sticks is an 8-week programme for kids aged 5-6, focusing on building basic movement and motor skills through fun, engaging hockey activities. It's the perfect introduction to the game, providing all the gear and a supportive environment to help young players get started.

The Explore programme provided Year 7-8 athletes in Kāpiti and at NHS with a great start to the hockey season, focusing on skill development in small group settings. Over six weeks, players regained their touch, built confidence, and showed impressive growth.

In Term 1, our After School Hockey Club for Years 1–3 and 4–6 saw great growth and ended with a successful 'Bring a Friend Day'. We’re excited to continue the fun in Term 4!

Funsticks is an exciting 8-week hockey programme for children aged 5-6 (Years 1 & 2), designed to introduce them to the sport in a fun, supportive environment. Running from May 3rd to June 28th across multiple locations, the programme focuses on developing fundamental movement skills and building confidence through play.

The After School Hockey Club (ASHC) is back for Term 1, 2025! Open to Years 1–6, this six-week programme welcomes new and returning players to develop their hockey skills, stay active, and make friends in a fun, supportive environment. With sessions across four Wellington hubs and a bonus "Bring a Friend" day, it’s the perfect way to try hockey or build on existing skills.

The U11 Hockey Festival at Fraser Park brought together players from our NHS, Fraser, Elsdon Hubs along with Wairarapa for a sunny day of fun, friendly competition, and skillful play. Wellington Hockey thanks everyone who contributed to this successful event, celebrating the growth and development of our young athletes.
