Wellington Hockey's popular Fun Sticks programme is back for Term 3, offering a fun and engaging introduction to hockey for tamariki in School Years 1 and 2. Running over six weeks from 15 July to 23 August, this programme is designed to build confidence, develop basic skills, and provide plenty of game play opportunities in a supportive environment.
All Fun Sticks hubs are back on board this term, giving families the flexibility to choose the location that suits them best: NHS (Wellington City), Fraser Park (Lower Hutt), Maidstone (Upper Hutt), Elsdon (Porirua), or Karori.
Each session runs for 45 minutes, with programme times varying by location:
Upper Hutt: Wednesdays, 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Lower Hutt: Fridays, 8:00 AM – 8:45 AM
Porirua: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Wellington City: Fridays, 9:00 AM – 9:45 AM
Kelburn/Karori: Mondays, 4:00 PM – 4:45 PM
Whether your child is picking up a stick for the first time or continuing their hockey journey, Fun Sticks is the perfect place to play, learn, and have fun.
