Wellington’s U15 Boys and Girls teams proudly represented the region at the Lower North Island U15 Tournaments, showing great teamwork, skill, and spirit throughout an exciting week of hockey. Both groups gained valuable experience and made Wellington proud on and off the field.

The 2025 U13 Festival in Whanganui wrapped up with Wellington representing eight teams and nine junior officials, along with plenty of positive vibes on and off the turf. Thank you to Hockey Wanganui and all the players, coaches, managers, officials, and supporters who made the festival a success.

The Wellington U16s put in a strong performance at the LNI U16 Regional Tournament in Taranaki, reaching the final after a week of determined play. Despite tough weather conditions, the team showed resilience, growth, and great team spirit throughout the campaign.

Wellington Hockey proudly sent three teams to the 2025 U18 National Tournaments, with standout performances across the board, including a two-team entry in the girls’ tournament for the first time in recent history. Check out how our teams fared in Auckland and Timaru!

Last Sunday, Wellington joined the Nations Cup Trophy Tour, where Aotea College students won a special skills session led by Black Sticks stars Finn Ward and Ri Pho, inspiring the next generation of hockey players. We’re incredibly grateful to Hockey NZ and Vantage for including Wellington in the tour, and especially for giving our young athletes such a memorable experience.

The Wellington U16 and U18 Summer Development teams faced off against the visiting Canadian sides in an exciting night of hockey at NHS. The U16s secured a 4-1 win, while the U18s battled to a 3-3 draw before winning in a shootout.
