
Wellington is set to host a massive weekend of Premier Hockey League (PHL) action as the Falcons return to the National Hockey Stadium for back-to-back home matches on Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 December.
With both the Falcons Men and Women featuring a strong contingent of Wellington players, local fans will have plenty to cheer for when they take the turf against the Alpiners on Saturday, followed by the Tridents on Sunday.
The PHL has quickly become one of New Zealand hockey’s most anticipated events, bringing together the best players from across the country in a fast-paced, high-intensity showcase of talent.
Both days promise great hockey and a lively atmosphere, with food, music, and fan activations around the stadium. Families, clubs, and hockey fans of all ages are encouraged to come along and be part of the action as the Falcons continue their hunt for PHL glory.

Registrations are now open for the 2026 U18 Representative Trials, with open trials taking place in late March at the National Hockey Stadium. Players are invited to register via PlayHQ and trial for the opportunity to represent Wellington at U18 Nationals.
