Wellington Hockey’s first Hockey Without Limits programme was a huge success, giving 30 participants with physical and intellectual disabilities the chance to play, learn, and enjoy the game. This new initiative is proudly supported by the Halberg Foundation, College Sport Wellington, and Tū Manawa Active Aotearoa.

The Wellington Hockey Awards 2025 celebrated the players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and clubs who bring our game to life, reflecting the passion and energy of Wellington’s hockey community.

Nominations are now open for the 2025 Community Hockey Awards, recognising the coaches, officials, administrators, and volunteers who make hockey happen in our community. Save the date for the Wellington Hockey Awards Evening on 15 October 2025.

Just Stick With It is a fun and inclusive program designed to encourage girls to get involved in hockey, build confidence, and make new friends in a supportive environment. After a successful first term, we’re excited to bring it back in Term 4 at Mana College.

It was an incredible start to the season at our Juniors "Have a Go" Day, with 60 participants enjoying perfect weather, trying new skills, and having fun in mini games and activities. A big thank you to everyone who came along – we can’t wait for the next one!

Join us for WHA’s Junior Hockey Have-A-Go Day on March 29th at the National Hockey Stadium! This fun, free event is perfect for new and returning junior players to pick up a stick, play some games, and get ready for the junior hockey season—no experience needed!

Just Stick With It! is a new Wellington Hockey initiative at Mana College, providing a fun and inclusive space for girls aged 14-18 to play hockey, enjoy afternoon tea, and receive homework support. With five weeks to go, there's still plenty of time to join in—no experience needed!

Wellington Hockey welcomes Kelly Newlands as our new Community Hockey Officer! She’ll be working alongside Jack Paton, focusing on community and youth player development programmes.
