We’re now into Week 4 of Just Stick With It! which is an exciting new initiative run by Wellington Hockey at Mana College, Porirua.
This programme is designed to promote girls' sport in a fun and inclusive environment. As part of the initiative, we provide afternoon tea and offer homework support after school before getting into our hockey sessions for girls aged 14-18.
With five weeks still to go, there’s plenty of time to get involved! If you or someone you know would be interested, come along on Thursdays afterschool at the Mana College Gymnasium, and give it a go – no experience needed!
We look forward to seeing even more young athletes on the field!

Wellington Summer Development Girls Teams Face Off Against Canadian Visitors
The Wellington U16 and U18 Summer Development teams faced off against the visiting Canadian sides in an exciting night of hockey at NHS. The U16s secured a 4-1 win, while the U18s battled to a 3-3 draw before winning in a shootout.

Upcoming Under 21 Men & Women Trials
We're excited to announce the Wellington Under 21 Trials for both Men’s and Women’s teams heading to Christchurch for the Matariki Weekend (June 20th-23rd). Trials will take place on April 2nd and 9th from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the National Hockey Stadium, with more details sent to those who register closer to the trial.

Canadian Development Teams Kick Off NZ Tour in Wellington!
Wellington Hockey is thrilled to host a Canadian development squad at the National Hockey Stadium as part of their New Zealand tour. Catch the action on 17th and 18th March, with local development and school teams taking on the visitors—plus, The Grind Kitchen and Bar will be open for food and drinks!
