
WHA is excited to announce and invite you to our Junior Hockey Have-A-Go Day as part of the Open Grade Opening Weekend at the National Hockey Stadium!

This event is an awesome chance for new and returning junior players to pick up a stick, get back into the game, and just have fun before the Junior Hockey season officially begins in May.
What to expect:
A fun, welcoming atmosphere to help you get comfortable with the game.
Games and activities suitable for all skill levels.
Feel free to bring a friend along to join in.
Sticks will be provided to those that need one.
We'll also share contact information on local junior hockey clubs and schools for those looking to join a team for the season.

Registrations are now open for players wishing to trial for Wellington's teams at the 2026 National Hockey Championship. With the tournament being hosted at the National Hockey Stadium this September, players have the opportunity to represent Wellington on home turf.

Wellington Officials Set for World Masters Hockey World Cup in Europe
Wellington Hockey officials Viv and Steven Dyhrberg, alongside Technical Official Nylan Profitt, are heading to Europe later this year for the World Masters Hockey World Cup tournaments in Rotterdam and Brasschaat. The trio continue to build their international officiating experience following their involvement at the 2024 World Masters Hockey tournaments in Auckland.
