The Junior Hockey League (JHL) kicks off today!

Hockey New Zealand is excited to introduce the Junior Hockey League (JHL) - a new competition designed for our top U21 talent, similar to the PHL but tailored for the next generation.

This tournament features a condensed format with four rounds (including Finals Day) over five days, with a rest day in between. All games will be held at King’s College in Auckland from Sunday 13 April to Thursday 17 April.

Wellington Hockey is proud to have a strong presence in the Falcons U21 squads:

Women’s Team:

Kate Fraser

Penelope Taulafo

Keira Noble-Shedlock

Rachel Duston

Men’s Team:

Xander Redgrave

Suneel Patel

Ollie Bowmar

Camron Neilson

Foy Kerkin

Harison Clulow

Matthew Kennedy

Tim Crawford

We’re also excited to share that Lexie Etherington has been appointed as an official for the tournament — a fantastic achievement, and we wish her all the best!

Catch all the action live at hockeynz.tv with a tournament pass ($15) or a single game pass ($7.50).
