Wellington players Jordan Cohen, Patrick Madder, and Graeme Murrell have been named in the NZA Men’s squad for the 2025 Hulunbuir Invitational Trophy in China, marking an important step toward potential future Black Sticks selection. This tournament offers valuable international experience for emerging New Zealand hockey talent.

The Wellington U16 Boys received their playing shirts from local Wellington Representative Player Graeme Murrell, who spoke about the pride of representing the region. The team now travel to New Plymouth for the LNI U16 Tournament.

Wellington’s Riana Pho and Julia Gluyas will represent New Zealand in a two-match test series against the United States in Charlotte, North Carolina. Both matches will be streamed live and free on TVNZ+.

Wellington Hockey U18 Men’s and Women’s teams are set to compete at the National U18 Tournament from 29 June to 5 July. The Men’s team will compete in Timaru, while the Women’s Gold and Black teams will play in North Harbour. The teams will showcase their skills in a series of matches against Australia, with all games live-streamed on LiveHockey.com.au.
