Three Wellington athletes have been named in the New Zealand A squad for the 2025 Hulunbuir Trophy in China.

Congratulations to our Wellington players Jordan Cohen, Patrick Madder, and Graeme Murrell on their selection for the NZA Men’s squad competing at the 2025 Hulunbuir (Moqi) Invitational Trophy in China from 24 July to 1 August.


This tournament is a key development opportunity for players aiming to progress to the Vantage Black Sticks Men’s team, providing valuable international experience and a chance to showcase their skills on the global stage.


We’re proud to see our Wellington athletes taking this important step in their hockey careers and wish them every success in the competition.

Four Wellington Hockey officials have earned appointments to the 2026 National Under-18 Tournaments, with Josh McDougall, Max Wallace and Jack Campbell heading to Tauranga and Ashley Hanaray selected for Palmerston North. Max and Jack will make their National U18 debuts.
