WHA welcomes Wendy Edwards as Chair and invites nominations for new Board members.

New Chair: Wendy Edwards

WHA is delighted to announce Wendy Edwards as our new Chair. A Board member since 2023, Wendy is well-known within our community for her contributions to both Naenae Hockey Club and WHA. She takes over from Kyle Pontifex, who will be stepping down at the 2025 AGM after six years of dedicated service on the WHA Board. We extend our sincere gratitude to Kyle for his leadership and commitment, and we look forward to formally recognizing his contributions at the AGM.

Board Members Wanted

WHA is now accepting nominations for Appointed Board Members. With Kyle Pontifex, John Thomason, Rochelle Roddick, and Molly Powers reaching their six-year term limits and retiring from the Board, we are seeking up to four new members to join.

The role requires a commitment of six board meetings per year, with occasional online approvals between meetings as needed.

Nominations should be submitted via email to WHA CEO, Michael Langley, at ceo@wellingtonhockey.org.nz by 5:00 PM on Wednesday, 12 February.
