Wellington Hockey is proud to acknowledge the athletes selected to compete at the Junior Hockey League (JHL), taking place from 13–18 April at King’s College in Auckland.
The JHL is a key event on the national calendar, bringing together the country’s top emerging players in a high-performance environment. It provides a valuable opportunity for athletes to test themselves against the best, while also supporting the development of coaches and officials within a performance-focused setting.
Simon Brill, GM of High Performance from HNZ, highlighted the importance of the tournament within the pathway.
“The JHL gives our emerging players the chance to compete in a nationally aligned, high-quality environment while also accelerating the development of coaches and officials within a real performance context. Events like this are about more than results, they’re about building the whole system and preparing people for the step into the PHL and International Hockey.”
