Wellington Hockey is now seeking Expressions of Interest from members of our community to join the Technical Bench team as a Judge for the 2026 National Hockey Championship (NHC), taking place at the National Hockey Stadium from 13–19 September.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be involved in one of New Zealand's premier domestic hockey events and play an important role in delivering a high-quality tournament.

Judges are responsible for supporting the smooth operation of matches, including:

• Managing the scoreboard

• Recording penalty cards and goals

• Managing live scoring in Altrius

• Completing official match paperwork

Whether you're an experienced Judge or keen to get involved for the first time, we encourage you to register your interest. Training and support will be provided, with an introductory session taking place ahead of the tournament to ensure everyone is confident in their role.

You don't need to be available for the entire week. Simply let us know when you're available, and we'll work around your schedule where possible.
