Wellington Hockey has announced its U21 representative teams for the upcoming season.

Wellington Hockey is proud to announce the U21 Men’s and Women’s teams selected to represent the region at the 2025 Educare U21 Matariki Invitational, taking place in Christchurch over Matariki weekend from Friday 20th to Monday 23rd June.


The tournament brings together top U21 talent from across Aotearoa during the Matariki holiday. Both Wellington squads are looking forward to testing themselves against strong opposition in what promises to be a competitive and exciting weekend of hockey.


We wish our players, coaches, and support staff the very best as they prepare for this upcoming tournament.

Four Wellington Hockey officials have earned appointments to the 2026 National Under-18 Tournaments, with Josh McDougall, Max Wallace and Jack Campbell heading to Tauranga and Ashley Hanaray selected for Palmerston North. Max and Jack will make their National U18 debuts.
