
We are excited to announce the return of Funsticks, an 8-week hockey programme designed for children aged 5-6 years (Years 1 & 2) who are new to hockey or relatively new to the game! This fun and engaging programme focuses on foundational movement and motor skill development, preparing young players for a life of sport.

This programme is specifically tailored for new players, ensuring a fun and supportive environment where kids can:
Develop physical literacy through play and exploration.
Build confidence and basic hockey skills in a fun and active setting.

Programme Details:
Programme Length: May 3rd – June 28th (8-week programme)
Session Times, Days & Location:
Saturdays, 9 AM - 9:45 AM, National Hockey Stadium
Saturdays, 8 AM - 8:45 AM, Fraser Park
Saturdays, 9 AM - 9:45 AM, Elsdon
Tuesdays, 4 PM - 4:45 PM, Marston School Turf
Wednesdays, 4 PM - 4:45 PM, Maidstone Park
Cost: $60 per child for 8 sessions
No session on Kings Birthday Weekend (31 May)

Wellington Hockey is proud to celebrate the selection of several local athletes named in the Falcons squads for the 2025 Premier Hockey League, with the season kicking off on 8 November. Fans can catch the action live when Wellington hosts a home double-header weekend at the National Hockey Stadium later in December.
