Wellington Hockey is excited to announce an open position for a Community Hockey Officer to help grow and develop hockey across the region. This role is ideal for someone passionate about both the sport and community engagement, with an opportunity to make a real impact on the growth of hockey in Wellington.


The Community Hockey Officer will deliver a range of community hockey activities across all sectors of the hockey community. This will include engaging with clubs, schools, and other community organisations to achieve the following:


  • Grow and sustain participation in hockey at the community level with a high level of participant satisfaction

  • Strengthen the delivery of community hockey, inclusive of volunteers, as well as coaches and umpires and volunteers

  • Work with clubs and schools to deliver quality WHA programmes


This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dedicated team working to grow the sport of hockey in Wellington. If you’re enthusiastic about community development and the game of hockey, we want to hear from you!
