Attend our special events throughout the year where you can just turn up and HAVE A GO at playing hockey.

Designed for children, aged 5-6 years, who are ‘new players’ or relatively new to the game of hockey in a sports club environment.

A fun and active session for your children straight after school, suitable for both new and developing players delivered by Wellington Hockey in partnership with Clubs.

The Small Sticks programme is a school-based programme accessible for all New Zealand children, aged 4-13, which introduces children to the sport of Hockey at the level appropriate with their ability.

Designed for secondary school players that are wanting to continue playing during the school holidays.

Training to train and learning to compete. Athletes will see themselves to improve their technical skills and develop tactical understanding.

Training to learn and explore the game. Athletes will learn the foundational principles of attack, defence and transition hockey in an 8 week programme.

Under 11 is the first age group that Wellington Hockey offers development opportunities for players and this is the start of their development journey.
