WHA officials have been appointed to officiate at the 2025 Rankin Cup and Federation Cup tournaments.

Wellington Hockey is proud to congratulate six of our WHA officials who have been appointed by Hockey New Zealand to officiate at the upcoming Rankin Cup and Fed Cup Secondary School Tournaments.

The tournaments, taking place from 25–30 August, represent the top tier of secondary school hockey in New Zealand. We’re thrilled to see WHA representation at both events, with three officials heading to Auckland for the Rankin Cup, and another three staying in the capital to officiate at the Federation Cup right here in Wellington.

Rankin Cup (Auckland)

  • Josh McDougall

  • Max Wallace

  • Jack Campbell

Federation Cup (Wellington)

  • Ashley Hanaray

  • Selina Akavi

  • Hamish McNelly

These appointments are a reflection of the hard work and dedication these officials have shown throughout the season. Being selected to officiate at these prestigious tournaments is a significant achievement and a fantastic development opportunity.

We’re proud to have WHA officials continuing to make an impact on the national stage and wish them all the best for a successful tournament week!
