As the 2025 season approaches, Wellington Hockey is excited to kick things off with two important sessions for Open Grade umpires and officials. Whether you're a returning official or someone interested in getting involved, these events provide a great opportunity to meet other volunteers, gain insights into the upcoming season, and get prepared for what's ahead.
Meet & Greet – Monday 10th March, 6:30 PM
Join us for an informal Meet & Greet session at the NHS Pavilion. This relaxed event allows current and prospective umpires to connect with one another, ask questions, and learn more about umpiring at Wellington Hockey. We encourage you to bring along a friend who might be interested in becoming an umpire! It’s a fantastic opportunity to get to know your fellow officials and volunteers in the community.
Open Grade Pre-season Briefing – Wednesday 19th March, 6:30 PM
Our Pre-season Briefing will be held in the NHS Boardroom and is a mandatory session for all WHA-appointed officials. This briefing will prepare you for the 2025 season by covering essential updates, expectations, and guidelines for the upcoming year. We also encourage club-appointed umpires to attend to ensure everyone is well-informed and ready for the season ahead.
Umpire Registrations Still Open
Umpire registrations for the 2025 season are still open on PlayHQ! Make sure to register now if you are intending on umpiring this season.
