Wellington Hockey Officials Appointed to 2025 National Championship

Wellington Hockey is proud to announce that six of our officials have been appointed to officiate at the 2025 National Hockey Championship (NHC) in Christchurch, running from 14–20 September.


The following officials have been appointed by Hockey New Zealand:

  • Devendra Patel (Umpire Coach)

  • Andrew Spence (Technical Official)

  • Lexie Etherington (Umpire)

  • Stephen McLachlan (Umpire)

  • Nathan Waddle (Umpire)

  • Kieran Wells (Umpire)


Wellington Hockey extends its congratulations to all six officials and wishes them every success in Christchurch.

Wellington Hockey is proud to celebrate the selection of several local athletes named in the Falcons squads for the 2025 Premier Hockey League, with the season kicking off on 8 November. Fans can catch the action live when Wellington hosts a home double-header weekend at the National Hockey Stadium later in December.
