WHA is excited to announce, with the support of the Officials Advisory Group, an umpire development day for our JUMP umpires and for anyone else that are wanting to "JUMP" into umpiring. This is a practical and relaxed session for any secondary school students who are new to umpiring or just getting started with Year 7&8 or U15 games.
Date: Saturday 12th July
Time: 9:30am – 11:30am
Location: National Hockey Stadium
We’ll run through some of the key rules, positioning, how to use the whistle confidently, and give you a chance to ask questions. You’ll also get the chance to watch an Open Grade match and see how experienced umpires handle the game.
If you’re keen to learn more or want to feel more confident on the field, this is for you.
