Coaches from across the region are invited to attend an upcoming Disability & Inclusion Coaching Workshop, designed to support more inclusive and welcoming sporting environments for disabled people.
The workshop will focus on practical, real-world strategies that coaches can apply directly in their coaching practice. Participants will explore inclusive coaching approaches, hear real-life examples, and gain tools to help remove barriers and create positive experiences for all participants.
The session will be held at Walter Nash Stadium on Friday 13 February 2026, running from 9:30am to 1:00pm. The workshop is free to attend and is open to coaches across all levels and codes.
This workshop is proudly supported by Nuku Ora, Hutt City Council, Halberg Foundation, Special Olympics, DSPORT, Blind Low Vision NZ, and Kimi Ora School, reflecting a shared commitment to disability inclusion across the region.
Coaches interested in attending can register by emailing Graham at grahamw@nukuora.org.nz.
If you have any questions, dietary requirements, require an interpreter, or need any additional support to make your experience comfortable, please include this when registering so arrangements can be made.
