Developing our U14, U16 & 18 Players
The Summer Development Programme is a seven-week training opportunity specifically designed for young athletes in the U14, U16, and U18 age groups. Targeted towards these developing players, the programme provides a structured environment to refine technical skills, enhance tactical understanding, and gain valuable game experience. Whether aiming to build confidence, prepare for upcoming school trials, or progress toward representative teams, the programme supports players at various stages of their development. With high quality coaching and a focus on individual growth, the Summer Development Programme equips young athletes with the tools they need to succeed on the turf and prepare for the upcoming season.
Programme Information
The Summer Development Programme is ideal for young athletes in the following age groups:

U14s (turning 13 or 14 in 2025): This group will benefit from focused skill development and gameplay experience, providing a strong foundation for further growth in the sport.

U16s (turning 15 or 16 in 2025): Perfect for players who want to enhance their technical skills while getting valuable tactical gameplay experience. The programme helps prepare athletes for school trials and the possibility of making Wellington’s representative teams.

U18s (turning 17 or 18 in 2025): For those aiming to take their game to the next level with advanced technical coaching and gameplay sessions. This programme is a great opportunity for players looking to prepare for high-level competition and trials for representative teams.
Whether you're aiming to build confidence, improve your technical skills, or progress to higher levels of competition, this programme offers structured support to athletes at all stages of development.

Quality coaching for all levels, including dedicated goalkeeper-specific coaching.

The programme begins on 2 February 2026 and runs for seven weeks, concluding on 18 March 2026.
Training Location: National Hockey Stadium, Wellington
The programme is open to U14, U16 and U18 players, with training days assigned by age group:

U14s: Wednesdays, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

U16s: Tuesdays and Wednesdays, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

U18s: Mondays and Tuesdays, 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM

Registration costs for 2026 are set at:

U14s: $145 per player (7 sessions)

U16s / U18s: $290 per player (14 sessions)
