Introduction to Umpiring Course 2013
The Introduction to Umpiring Course is a fantastic opportunity for coaches, players, managers and new umpires to learn the basics of hockey umpiring and get better acquainted with the rules of hockey. The course will be delivered by our international umpire, Devendra Patel.

The course is free to attend; however places are limited. Please note that since these courses are free and very popular, if you register and then do not attend you will be charged a "no show" fee of $25. You are welcome to notify us of any cancellation to bookings up to 24 hours before the start of the course.

For clubs or schools who have 10-12 people interested in attending the course, please email info@wellingtonhockey.org.nz as we may be able to arrange an umpiring course specifically for your group.
NB - Hockey New Zealand is currently finalising a fantastic new online umpiring resource which will mean that the theory component of the umpiring course can be completed online. The release date for this resource has not been announced yet, so we decided to offer the courses as we had done in previous years to ensure that anyone who wanted to complete the umpiring course before the season starts has the opportunity to do so.
