Wellington Hockey is excited to announce the return of our Secondary Development Camp to the National Hockey Stadium for 2022.

Shea McAleese is returning to Wellington to deliver a camp over the weekend of the 19th & 20th November. Shea, led a similar camp last year and was impressed with the local players he worked with and he is keen to return this summer. As a player, Shea retired from international hockey after amassing 320 caps for the Black Sticks, attending 4 Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games and World Cups throughout his career and is the 3rd most capped men’s Black Stick of all time. Shea has transitioned quickly from player to coach and this year he also was an assistant coach of the Black Sticks women for the World Cup and Commonwealth Games.

Shea will be joined by fellow coaches from Wellington Hockey development programmes ensuring a high-quality experience. Goalkeepers are welcome to enrol as there will be a goalkeeper specific trainer to assist your technical development via the Wellington Hockey Goal Keeper Academy.
