Goal-scorers’ names will be included when these are provided by clubs through PlayHQ.

Premier 1 Men

After their draw with Indians last week Hutt United returned to winning ways against Tawa Titans in the main game on Cello NHS 1, but it took some time to gain ascendency. After scoring early United were up by just 2-1 at half-time, before their superior pace and skill earned them a bonus point win. Indians again looked polished in putting way Northern United in the early game. Four goals in the first half set the scene, while Northern’s goal-scoring drought continues. The closest encounter of the day was the late game between Harbour City and a determined Victoria. There was little between the sides in what was a fast, open game before Harbour did just enough to earn their second win.

Premier 1 Women

Harbour gained their first competition points of the season with a bonus point win over Victoria in the early game on McDonald’s Newtown NHS 2. Up 4-0 going into the final quarter it took a strike by Victoria O’Keefe with two minutes to play to earn her side the bonus point. Northern United carried on their good work from last week with an emphatic win over Karori. A hattrick by the athletic Emily McNaughtan was the feature, with Karori’s Hannah Richardson grabbing a late consolation goal for the black and whites. Hutt United were made to work hard against Toa as the temperature dropped, but doubles to Minna Reid and Laura Jurgeleit saw the Hutt Valley side return to the top of the table.
