Summer Hockey Umpires

We are on the hunt for extra umpires to join the roster for the 2023 Summer League Season!

Please don't worry if you've never given it a go, you've never umpired adults or your going to be playing for a team as well! We are looking both newbies and experienced umpires! Summer Hockey provides plenty of paid umpiring opportunities at Elsdon, Fraser Park and NHS on Tuesdays, and at NHS on Wednesdays to umpire twilight summer leagues. Support will be provided to those people new to umpiring.

There are also opportunities to umpire 11-a-side Masters games on Thursdays at either Fraser Park or National Hockey Stadium. If you are interested in either giving umpiring a go and taking home some spending money and/or lending a hand to coach some new umpires, please register using the PlayHQ link here: https://www.playhq.com/hockey-new-zealand/register/df1f0e

Locations are planned for Elsdon, Fraser Park and the National Hockey Stadium, and will be dependent on registrations . Wednesdays will only available at the National Hockey Stadium.

Games will be 5-a-side, 30 mins non-stop on half a turf, with umpires provided. The first game starts at 6.15 pm
