Wellington Hockey Association supports its umpires through the Umpires Advisory Council, one of 6 councils involved in the work of the Wellington Hockey Association.  Responsibilities for this council include appointments, increasing participation, club liaison, mentoring programmes, coaching programmes and increasing communication regarding umpiring activities.
