NATIONAL U21 TOURNAMENT 2012
The National U21 Tournament for 2012 will be held in Hamilton on May 7th-12th.
U21 Capital Men
Coach: Peter Miskimmin
We are pleased to confirm that Peter Miskimmin will be coaching the Under 21 Men’s team in 2012, following the advertising of the role prior to Christmas.
Expressions of interest are therefore sought from all players who would like to be considered for selection in 2012. Email info@wellingtonhockey.org.nz with the following details:
Trials for both men’s and women’s squads will take place on Saturday 11 and Sunday 12 February as follows, please ensure you arrive at least 30minutes before the start of the trial to register and warm up::

If you cannot make the trials on that weekend - please send your details and advise at that time that you cannot attend that weekend

Apologies for the shift of venue on day 2. The NHS2 Turf is being replaced at the moment and the number 1 pitch is booked out for all of the Sunday.
For those travelling from out of town, please let us know if you need any assistance with travel to and from Kapiti and/or accommodation overnight on the Saturday.
Following the trial weekend - training squads will be named and the following practice sessions are planned for Wellington (for Wairarapa and Wellington players to attend):

Men; Wednesdays 8.00-10.00pm, Saturdays 10.30-12.00pm
March 12th-March 23rd
Wednesdays 6.30-8.30pm, Saturdays 10.30-12.00pm
March 26th-18th April
Mondays 7.00-9.00pm, Wednesdays 6.30-8.30pm

Note: All U21 trainings may be subject to time change as determined by turf availability. For those in the squads from the South Island, separate training sessions will be planned locally for you with opportunity to come together as a squad as the season progresses.

We are still working through coaching appointments for the women’s team. Sean Dancer will be with the team as Assistant Coach in 2012 and will be in charge until the Coach is confirmed.
