Hockey NZ Level Two Coaching Course - POSTPONED

Friday 27th - Sunday 29th August 2008.

In order to be considered for nomination for the Level 2 Coaching Course you must:

1. Coached at National Clinics

2. Association Representative Coaches

3. Coached at Regional Clinics or Age Group Representative Level

4. Coached at Rankin Cup, India Shield, Federation Cup, Marie Fry Trophy

5. Level 1 accredited.

Please note that your nomination must be accepted by HNZ to confirm your attendance.

The registration fee for successful applicants is $180 and payable to HNZ.

Saturday 15th March 2008 8.30am – 5pm – NHS

(this course is targeted at Club and Representative coaches)

Friday 4th April 2008 6 - 9pm - NHS

Saturday 5th April 2008 8.30am - 12pm - NHS

Sunday 6th April 2008 8.30am - 12pm - NHS

(this course is targeted at School coaches)

This course is designed for coaches of 11 aside hockey & includes: HNZ Playing Policy, Game Analysis, Dribbling, Passing & Receiving, Goal Scoring, Tackling, Goalkeeping, Set Plays, Injury Prevention & Rules/Umpiring. Participants must have completed the Getting Started Course.

Course pre-requisites:

Participants should have completed a preliminary coaching course, “Getting Started in Hockey” or equivalent and have coached a team for more than one playing season.

Cost: $60

GETTING STARTED IN HOCKEY COACHING COURSE: 13th & 16th April 2007.

The course provides an entry point for individuals wishing to get involved in coaching. This course is designed for the first time coach and covers basic introductory coaching concepts.

Please note the course runs over two days and at two different venues.

Venue:    Sport Wellington Region, Level 2, 113 Adelaide Rd, Newtown Wellington

Day 2:

Venue:    National Hockey Stadium Mt Albert Road, Newtown Wellington

Date:      Monday 16th April 2007

Time:      6.00pm - 10.00pm

HNZ LEVEL ONE COACHING COURSE: 23rd - 24th March 2007.
