CAPS - Capital Accelerator Programme

In early 2013 Capital Hockey will be launching CAPS - the Capital Accelerator Programme.  The criteria for selection for CAPS is currently being finalised and will be announced early in 2013.  CAPS is a 12 month programme where the very elite athletes (Under 18, Under 21 and NHL) from our region (Buller, Marlborough, Nelson, Wellington and Wairarapa) will receive coaching from the Region's and New Zealand's top coaches, individual mentoring as well a number of further opportunities. 

In addition to CAPS, Wellington Hockey Association and Capital Hockey will continue to offer quality programmes to support our athletes.  With Summer Camps, the 6-week Xcel Elite Clinic, Easter and July Holiday programmes all on offer.  Obviously in addition to this, players selected for our Representative Teams will have a great programme to be part of which will assist them to prepare for competition at their National and Regional Tournaments.

Wellington Hockey Association Academy 2012

In 2012, Wellington Hockey Association is offering an Academy programme to our top identified athletes (Black Sticks, Junior Black Sticks, NZ Tiger Turf and players who have been ranked in the top of their age year aged 15+ - i.e. players eligible for Under 18s in 2013).  The following players are part of the WHA Academy programme:
